Started in Seido Karate |
Making the decision to start
Seido karate is a very important step in your life. We endeavour to
present to you the true way of Karate, or "Karate-Do", that is, a
way to develop total fitness: mind, body and spirit. Making an investment
in your personal development is not be taken lightly, and as such,
we commit to giving you the best instruction possible.
Our introductory system
allows you to ease into the training program slowly and safely.
It is not necessary that you have any previous karate experience.
You progress at a pace consistent with your ability and level of
fitness. Everyone is treated as an individual. We fully appreciate
that you may not be super-fit or flexible right from the start.
We will work with you and track you progress as a beginner to ensure
you realize you true potential as a student of Seido Karate.
Seido
Karate Adult
Are you new to karate? Would you like to ease into your training? To get started in Seido Karate we recommend our unique Introductory Classes.
On the first and third Monday of every month at 6.30pm we hold free Introductory beginners classes for you to try karate. Please wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing such as a t-shirt and full-length tracksuit pants (no shorts or skirts).
In these lessons you'll learn some basic karate techniques, and get a feel for how things operate in a karate class, so you can move comfortably into regular training.
We'll also explain the payment system for you should you decide to continue your training past the stage of a new beginner. After you finish your introductory class you are under no further obligation (limit of 1 introductory class per person). Seido Karate Adult Introductory Classes are strictly by appointment only. Please contact Matt Layton to secure your booking today, as spaces are strictly limited. Matt

Children
Getting Started
For our
children's program, we recommend the kids start-up pack for only
$139 which includes a karate uniform and entire school term of training.
At your child's uniform fitting we can also conduct a tour of the
training centre, together with a brief introductory session to show
them some basic techniques

Fees
Once your trial period is finished, you have the convenience of paying for your training by direct debit (from a bank account or credit card) for only $49.95 per fortnight. For children, parents can pay $159 for the entire school term in advance.
Gradings
Gradings are a wonderful
event at our dojo. The process of achieving a new belt level is
celebrated by all participants and spectators alike. Gradings for
Adults are about every two months, and for kids twice during the
term. Seido Karate Juniors grading cost $35, and Adult gradings
start at $45.

Done
Martial Arts Before?
Have you
studied martial arts before? Would you like to try again? At our
school we happily accept former martial arts students who wish to
get started again. We fully appreciate your previous experience
when you re-commence training. Although you may have achieved a
particular belt rank in another style, you will be required to start
at white belt in Seido Karate. The levels you achieve after starting,
and the speed at which you achieve those levels, will be assessed
along the way. We encourage you to make an appointment to see our
dojo and watch a class to see if our style is right for you
